Demography of Sri Lanka(SM)

Course Description

This course provides students with a knowledge of the demographic evolution in Sri Lanka and its present dynamics. It examines demographic processes that drive population change - mortality, fertility, and migration, in the context of Sri Lanka. The course facilitates students to interpret demographic data, and critically explore population issues and challenges in Sri Lanka in comparison to the South Asian region.
