The course unit is designed to impart knowledge on the two-way relationship between human resource development (HRD) and Economics or Economic Development, while the students are engaged in their final year Internship programme.

HRD studies cover two approaches as Development approach (economics) and organization approach (management), while the students receive a basic understanding on both approaches.

While teaching on the theoretical underpinnings of HRD are limited, students are encouraged to learn and observe more on different policy issues related to the link between HRD and Economic development.

Case studies and exercises will enhance the practical application of theoretical aspects learnt.

This course aims to equip students with a conceptual understanding of what communication is and make them appreciate the value of mastering communication skills for the business environment. Further, it attempts to equip students with a selected set of verbal and written skills that would allow them to navigate the basic functions of a business environment
